"Can't" is a horrible word for children to use. It lets them off the hook. It tells them that it's okay if they don't solve hard problems; it's okay if they give up. We instituted a rule in our house before my oldest daughter's third birthday. No one is permitted to use the word "Can't." To my family, "Can't" is a bad word. Not only is it bad, but it doesn't have any meaning... because my girls can do anything. And if you can do anything, there's no such word as "Can't." I smile every time one of my daughters struggles to work her way around that word in a sentence. I smile because I know that later in life, the word "Can't" simply won't be in their vocabulary. This poster will reinforce that important rule everyday with your daughters.
